Experienced mental health consultant and founder of Starra Education, Joanne Docherty, announces the launch of online UK Accredited Mental Health Training and Qualifications

Joanne Docherty is set to share her wealth of knowledge as a mental health consultant and trainer as she introduces her first open virtual UK Accredited Mental Health Qualification, commencing in January 2023. The goal is to train individuals who are interested in learning about mental health and are motivated to complete a qualification that offers them necessary tools to support anyone having a mental health issue.

Poor mental health is a topic that has remained on the front burner in recent times, getting increased attention from government agencies as well as NGOs and private institutions, due to its devastating effects on society. According to the World Health Organization, 1 in every 8 people, or 970 million people were living with a mental condition in 2019. Anxiety and depressive orders rank as the most common. Unfortunately, the figures have risen significantly due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Consequently, it has become imperative to offer more quality mental health education to address the issues, which highlights the importance of the Accredited Mental Health Qualifications from Starra Education.

Starra Education’s program covers different aspects of mental health, such as Mental Health First Aid, Mental Health Conditions, Identifying Mental Health Conditions, Mental Health in the Workplace, Drugs and Alcohol, Stress, and a host of others. The first open course of 2023 will begin on the 23rd of January, with an investment of £200, including all electronic resources, eBook, e-certificate, and digital logos. Students can choose to have Scottish SQA Accreditation or English Ofqual Accreditation.
