Fashion Coffee CEO Produces New Show to Make the Best of a Difficult Situation

May 25 19:54 2020

New York, USA – To bring joy to the current unfortunate circumstances most people are facing due to COVID-19, Fashion Coffee CEO, Producer, and Radio Personality, Taji De Souza is hosting a model edition of her new “Virtual Fashion Show.”

Taji De Souza noticed that there were many music showcases and stand-ups on Instagram Live, but no one was catering to people in the fashion industry such as models, fashion designers, and wardrobe stylists. To meet that need, she decided to conduct the “Virtual Fashion Show” on Zoom and Facebook every Wednesday, with the resulting video being uploaded to YouTube later.

Taji De Souza’s “Virtual Fashion Show” has a panel of judges including creative/beauty director Zach “MrEyeliner” Garfinkel, model and runway coach Cyrene Renee and creative director and fashion model David Hand, who all give positive feedback to models of all experience levels as they walk. It is hosted by comedian, author, and producer Rema “The Great” Harvell. The theme is WWYWW (What Would You Wear Wednesday), which encourages participants to display what they would wear if they were in a fashion show or out at an event.

The current theme is spring-inspired, but later segments of the show will be summer-focused. There is a different walk requirement for each week, and a model is allowed to participate more than once. Week 1 is the classic walk, week 2 is urban, week 3 is “slay way,” week 4 is pose and week 5 is the grand finale, which incorporates the winners and models the panel would like to have returned.

A prize is given each week to the first-place winner and the runner-up, including an automatic spot in the “Style Up” New York Fashion Week Fashion Show (postponed until next year due to COVID-19), a free one-hour photoshoot with 2020 Images NYC and a free one-hour collective group runway lesson with Cyrene Renee. Additional prizes will be included for the grand finale winner.

Following the model edition of her “Virtual Fashion Show,” Taji De Souza plans to produce a fashion designer edition. To infuse a little brightness into the current quarantine situation and to learn more about the show and Fashion Coffee, visit https://linktr.ee/fashioncoffee.
